This tutorial was written by me on May 11th, 2011 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.
PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.
This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies:
PTU Kit by Rieka Rafita called Loving Cat. You can purchase it at Scraps With Attitude here.
Mask of choice. The mask I'm using is WynterMask1903082. I can't remember where I got the mask so I cannot supply it. If this is your mask, please let me know so that I can credit you.
Font of choice. I'm using a FTU font named Fontdinerdotcom Sparkly. You can find this font at Dafont.
Let's get started!
Open a blank image 500 x 500.
Open paper 2. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your blank canvas.
Open your mask and apply your mask. Merge group.
Open the Splash Leaves element. Copy and paste as a new layer.
Image>Flip.
Open the Window Shutters element. Resize by 60%. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your working canvas.
Open Ribbon 3. Resize by 70%.
Copy and paste as a new layer. Place towards the bottom of your shutters. See my tag for reference.
Open Butterfly 4. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place the butterfly where the shutter meets the window frame. See mine for reference.
Open Paw Print 1. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste as a new layer and move to the top right hand corner of your window. Take your Deform tool and turn this slightly to the right.
Open Paw Print 2. Follow the same steps as Paw Print 1 except Mirror the paw print, and instead of turning it to the right with your deform tool, turn it to your left.
Open Sparkle 1. Resize by 71%. Copy and paste as a new layer.
Open Cat 2. Resize by 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer and place to the right side of your canvas.
Duplicate. Adjust>Blur>Gaussian blur Uniform, 2.00. Set your blend mode to multiply.
On your original cat layer, sharpen twice.
Stay on your original cat layer. Adjust>Brightness and Contrast>Brightness/Contrast with the following settings:
Brightness - 0
Contrast - 9
Add a drop shadow of choice to your layers.
Add your name and because we are not using a tube outside of this kit, it is necessary to credit Rieka Rafita herself on this tag.
Note: When I did my text, I replaced the sparkle of the font with the cat paw that came with the kit. You can also exchange the paw with some letters in your name to add a little more flair.
Save as a .PNG or .JPG.
We're done!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
